I graduated last May with a journalism degree from UW-Madison and I wasn’t quite ready to start writing for the Globe Gazette in Mason City, Iowa. So I decided to do some traveling.
I spent six months as an English teacher in a small town called Chaiyaphum in northeastern Thailand. After a bit of traveling in Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia, I am now living in Yangzhou, China. I’ll be in China for the next year, teaching at a technical college in Yangzhou and doing as much traveling as I can until I go back to the States and start writing for newspapers again.
Micahel;
I’ve worked with your father at USPS. He suggested that I view your blog. It’s pretty neat. You seem to be having a good time while teaching and you also appear to be taking advantage of new cultures.
Taking some time out after graduation and before going out into the so-called real world sounds great.
If your father is still visiting you say hi.
I’ll come back from time to time to see what new adventures you are sharing.
Good luck
